By means of the Feeding The Change Fund, granted by Imperfect Produce to make sure everyone has access to food during the COVID-19 crisis, Grace will be kicking off our annual "You Got The Juice" program, earlier than normally scheduled this year. We will provide direct emergency food assistance to all residents within the South Deering, Roseland and Englewood communities who qualify. Those whom are selected will receive weekly "produce pack" drop offs with an assortment of fresh produce as supplies last. Note that resources are limited, so we are asking that only those with immediate severe hardship and emergency circumstances apply. We will contact all those selected with further information in regards to drop offs. We thank you all for your support! For more information please contact us via email at KDantzler108@gracehousingcomplex.org or call 773 969 3208. Please visit https://forms.gle/gZk5hBzTTbU1GhiX8 to complete the application.

Don't Forget To Say Grace
We would like to thank everyone who has supported us over the last few years! We have been able to grow our organization internally and externally, by the support of all of our constituents, supporters, partners, and donors. Despite facing many challenges as a grass roots organization, the work we have been able to do thus far has been very rewarding! As we continue to embark upon our mission’s short and long term goals we will like to leave this reminder to all, “Don’t Forget To Say Grace” !!!

"How To Talk To Youth About Sex" Workshop Recap
On Saturday September 8th, 2018, we hosted our first installment of collaborative workshops with Planned Parenthood of Illinois, entitled “ How To Talk To Youth About Sex”. Sexual and reproductive health education is very important. During the workshop we developed innovative and progressive ideas to further the conversation, that has for decades been considered “taboo”, in our communities. It is our hopes, in partnership with Planned Parenthood of Illinois, to develop a campaign which will include outreach, programs and workshops that will continue to spark the necessary change of the narrative of sexual and reproductive health in Chicago.
Take Grace Out To The Ball Game!
We would like to thank our partners from the Chicago White Sox donating us 150 tickets to the Chicago White Sox vs Boston Red Sox baseball game held on August 30th, 2018. We were able to bring 150 people to the game comprised of our service area residents, colleagues, and partners. We appreciate the love, support, and work the Chicago White Sox are doing for the communities on the Chicago Southside. We will definitely be attending more games in the near future and will be reaching out to even more residents from our service areas to join us!
Field Foundation Site Visit
We would like to thank The Field Foundation for coming out to visit us this past Monday, July 23rd. In April, our team submitted a Letter of Inquiry request to be considered for a grant opportunity made available by The Field Foundation, for potential funding to our "Say Grace Initiative" (South Deering). We were invited to submit a full proposal and were requested to have a site visit, in which representative Peter Handler, of the foundation came out to visit our South Deering service area. It is our hope, if granted, to utilize the funding to open up our first "Grace Community Resource Center" in the South Deering neighborhood! #SayGrace
